We liked this property. The upstairs living area worked out perfect for us grandparents so kids and grandkids could rule the downstairs. Only real downside is that contrary to the lovliness of this home's interior the building exterior and grounds are rather shabby. Some kitchen items weren't very clean (a housekeeping oversight). ALL of The ladies we dealt with from VIP were attentive and efficient. NOTE: If you enjoy a massage, have Ashley schedule an appointment with Sarah, she is fabulous. All in all a good stay, would recommend.

Our condo was in a great location right across the street from Hatcher Lake. Unfortunately, you do not have lake access across the street.The condo had plenty of room for my husband, two adult children, our Yorkie and myself. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms was perfect. The bonus were the deer and fox that we saw on our daily walks. In the morning we always had 4 deer right out the back door as well. The loft was really nice and perfect for my adult kids. The cons about the property were...King size bed was hard, burn holes in leather chair in livingroom, door handle to freezer came off when I opened freezer the first time and patio area needed a little love. Overall, it was a really nice place and we would stay there again.

All the little VIP touches that the rental agency added were much appreciated. We have stayed in many properties through VRBO and this was by far the best experience with a rental agency. The condo itself was well stocked. We were able to cook in the kitchen for every meal. The condo is large and clean.

Immaculate, well-stocked and maintained Condo in a gorgeous lakefront setting. Ten minutes from downtown. Very near upscale shopping center, grocery store, Walmart and restaurants. Numerous hiking trails for all skills literally a stones throw away. Very quiet small condo grouping with reserved parking. Super appliances, TV's wi-fi, etc. This is the best condo we have stayed in anywhere. It felt like home from the moment we walked in. Manager is easily accessible, but we never needed her. FIVE STARS PLUS!!

Excellent house with a great location between Pagosa and Wolf Creek. The house was perfect for our teenage sons and adults. We will definitely rent here again when in the area!!!

Communication with management was prompt and accommodating. We appreciated the location, as it is in between Pagosa and Wolf Creek ski area. It was a quick drive into Pagosa for shopping, restaurants, and the springs, but we didn’t have to deal with the crazy traffic going back into Pagosa when returning to the home from Wolf Creek. The kitchen had every utensil and appliance you could want to make a full meal. The beds are comfortable and every bedroom has its own bathroom. Our teens enjoyed the game tables in the garage, and the hot tub was the perfect way to finish our day of skiing at Wolf Creek. There was an extra twin mattress in the downstairs closet that we used in the loft instead of the sleeper sofa. I know my teen appreciated that! The driveway to the home is, in fact, very steep. We didn’t have ice or snow to deal with during our trip, but we had to use 4 wheel drive to back up the gravel driveway. This is fantastic property!

This quintessential mountain “cabin” was the perfect place and just what we needed for our weary souls! Lots of rest and relaxation, but close enough to the shopping, hot springs, and restaurants in Pagosa Springs. The house was amazing, with its bedrooms on each level with an available bathroom for each one, as well as a beautiful and comfortable living space and well-stocked kitchen. Everything we needed for an amazing getaway...and then add in the beautiful mountains, rivers, and fall colors...absolutely perfect!

The house was great for our group of 4 adults. Location was a 10 minute drive to town. We had plenty of space. Would stay here again.

Stayed at the house for a week, and loved the views, amenities, neighborhood, location, and experience with the team! Communication and suggestions were great! They also offer a wide variety of services, which is awesome! The house was clean, easy to find, and a very comfortable/relaxing stay! The hot tub was awesome, and the deck made for some great views, both of the mountains and the stars! Location was perfectly between town and to any adventure you’d want to experience(mountain drive, hike, fishing spot, and skiing)! 10/10 would recommend and stay again!

The location was perfect for skiing or heading into town. The VIP team was great with communication starting a week before up to the day we left. Always quickly responded to any questions and requests. House is great for three couples as everyone has their own full bathroom. Fully supplied kitchen, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Would stay here again.

Great stay for 3 Dads and 5 kids. Perfect for a ski trip being in between Pagosa and Wolf Creek. Set up in the garage with the games and hot tub was right on and best place to watch the mountain views light up as the sun went down.

Great cabin for two families. Everything you need is there in the house. Layout is great for multi families. Restroom on every floor. Enjoyed the hot tub technically indoors. Makes for warm in and out. Driveway can be a challenge for those without four wheel drive. Enjoy!

Our stay at Spectacular Views was amazing! The location of the cabin is close enough to town to enjoy shopping and a nice dinner our but far enough away that you feel secluded. The home itself is large with full baths for each bedroom and the kitchen is well-stocked for nights you want to stay in. We so enjoyed sitting under warm blankets on the couch while enjoying the fire and mountain views as well as watching TV in the hot tub after a day of hiking. The owners have created a beautiful home away from home that is simply perfect!

Spectacular Views is amazing! Not only is the location ideallic - just far away from town that you feel remote but close enough to run in for groceries or a night out - but the cabin is a home away from home. The layout is perfect for larger groups as each bedroom has its own full bathroom and the kitchen is well-stocked. We loved sitting in the living room with cozy blankets while enjoying the mountain views by the fire as well as watching TV from the hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay at "Spectacular Views"! The home was extremely clean! All the furniture was in like new condition and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. We definitely used the wonderful hot tub to soak in after a full day of skiing at Wolf Creek. We also chose this home for the proximity to Pagosa Springs and Wolf Creek. Lori, of VIP, was very nice to work with and very helpful. We would definitely stay at this home again.

Stayed with 2 families. 4 adults and 4 kids ages 7-14. The cabin was gave us the perfect amount of space for everyone and was clean. The hot tub, ping pong, and foos ball tables were enjoyed by all. The cabin was was perfectly located between Pagosa Springs and Wolf Creek. There are stairs getting up to the front door with multiple floors inside.

This property has so much to boast about: all kitchen amenities, comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, spacious living areas, game area and hot tub, and incredible eastern sky was perfect for our family of 5 and plenty of room left over for probably another 3-4 people to sleep comfortably.
But the real gem of this property is the property mgmnt team! We booked it through VIP and Ashley was our amazing concierge who did our grocery shopping and had it in place when we arrived. Amazing. We also had the privilege to meet Stuart and Lori who came to our rescue with our vehicle! They showed up when we needed them, got us all fixed up and were just the most friendly and helpful people. They set our vacation on track again and we are so grateful for their help. We couldn’t have received the customer service from any internet rental company, only through VIP. We will definitely use this company and their rentals again! Thank you Ashley, Stuart and Lori!!

This was an awesome family vacation home! It was minutes from shopping in Pagosa Springs, skiing at wolf creek, and fishing. Also, their hot tub was inviting after a long day at the slopes. The kids loved the foos ball and ping pong too. The kitchen was ideal and fully stocked for our Thanksgiving away from home. The bedrooms were spacious and the decor throughout the home was beautiful!!! We will definitely be coming back for more family vacations to come.

It was a nice house, convenient location, the best management company from start to finish. My only comment is that the 2nd floor has little to no air flow. We stayed in August with highs in the 90s, and the A/C upstairs seemed non-existent. We ended up purchasing portable fans. Lucky for us, our children didn't complain and were able to sleep through the heat.

This was an amazing trip. The house is even better in person. Such a cozy home. The customer service was top notch.We never had to worry about a thing. Communication was perfect! Everything was taken care of. The trip couldn't have gone any better.

This is a great location in uptown near shopping and restaurants. It also has a great view of the northern mountains.

Our experience was wonderful, especially with the great location! The kitchen is well stocked with all the cookware needed to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own spaced if needed and the movie room is great for binge watching whatever series you like!

A previous review stated that the hot water system is an "on demand" type system, that took a little getting used to but no issues with it and the master bath tub does have a pretty big step to get in and out, again not an issue for us.

Having garage access for our vehicle was great on check out day when Pagosa got 11" of snow, we packed up the car inside the garage, no brushing off snow, and checked out with ease.

Absolutely would book it again!

Everything about Relaxing Bear and VIP Services made for the perfect vacation. The house is perfect for larger groups, you have space to get some peace but there is also plenty of room for everyone to relax together. Bonus is the movie room! The kitchen has everything you could possible need. Perfect location, with plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. We loved walking the dogs to Higher Grounds for coffee and breakfast in the morning. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. In fact, we are looking to return for some snow!

We could not have asked for a more beautiful, clean, and spacious home with the most ideal location. We were nervous about having Christmas away from our home in Texas, but we felt right at home at Relaxing Bear. We will be back for sure.

Perfect getaway house close to town.

Why location twice? First, because it was literally within walking distance of our favorite places to eat. Second, because its a place you never want to leave. Great ambiance; spent each morning in the hot tub, each afternoon relaxing in the great room, and each night in the super cute movie room. Shout out to Lori for being responsive, and shout out to those managing the house for it was kept clean and welcoming.

Relaxing Bear was beautiful and spacious on the inside. The mountain view was breathtaking. We took full advantage of the hot tub after a full day on the slopes. Kitchen was fully equipped even with extra seasonings in the cabinet, this cook appreciates that! Wonderful stay for our family!

We had a great weekend in this home. You can walk to Pagosa Brewing and stores from the house. The view from the living room is beautiful.
We couldn't find the wine opener anywhere and VIP brought one over within 5 minutes of us sending the text! Great service.
If you are looking for a house with a roaring fire this isn't it. It's a small gas flame, but it doea give off good heat.
We did the private chef dinner through VIP and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend.

However, the overall stay was good. The management company was very quick to try to address the issues as fast as they could. Lori was terrific at responding day and night due to the unique challenges. So, based on how they handled the situation, we give it a 5. The home is beautiful (even better than the photos) and in a great location near grocery and some restaurants. The homeowners have done a great job decorating and making sure the kitchen appliances and cookware were perfect to allow meal making easy and enjoyable The TV room upstairs is HUGE and the kids loved watching movies after skiing. One recommendation - the heating element for the dryer does not work properly - it took 1.5 hours to dry a very small load of ski clothes which was crazy and extremely frustrating. Many thanks to Lori for her efforts.

This was our third year to stay here and we continue to be impressed. The home is beautiful and tucked away from town. It is quiet and peaceful. The home is well-stocked and so, so clean! We always feel right at home. There are plenty of kitchen amenities to cook if you want to. There is a game closet and a bookshelf full of books (take one, leave one!) It is the perfect get-away for a couple or a family. Tall Pines Retreat is one of our favorite things about our annual ski trip to Wolf Creek. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

All we can say is "Awesome". Our family does not get together regularly due to kids being in 2 states and Canada so when we collect we want to be able to spend time together and enjoy our location. Tall Pines Retreat checked all boxes and more. Located in a friendly community, with easy access to everything in Pagosa Springs as well as beautiful panoramic views all situated next to miles of great hiking/running trails. the house was amazing and fully decorated for the holidays, which really boosted the festivities. The house was fully stocked and in excellent condition, with everything we needed for cooking, snacking, playing dice and board games. But the highlight was the hot tub! Situated right next to the house it was extremely popular with everyone! Great night sky views along with relaxing sore muscles from all the hiking! We can't say enough about how much family fun we had during the week! Great Job and our highest recommendations! Enjoy as we did!

We just finished a 4 night stay with our two teenage daughters. This house was amazing. The location is so convenient to downtown Pagosa, Village Lakes and City Market. The deck was super comfortable and we loved sitting outside and watching the local deer wander by. The hot tub was a big hit as well. Overall I was most impressed by how organized and well labeled the house was. Often with a rental, I spend hours trying to find things in the kitchen or figure out how things work. Everything here was labeled and clear instructions were available. The kitchen was a joy to use, well stocked and amazing appliances. We will definitely return to this rental.

VIP did a great job finding an alternate home after the one we originally reserved had internet issues. The home we ultimately stayed in was very nice, clean and convenient to many of Pagosa’s shops. We would absolutely stay there again.

Our family of 6 including young adults, parents and a 9 yr old enjoyed our stay and the amenities of the cabin. Exceptionally well stocked kitchen with spices, bowls, knives and cookware all at your fingertips! Furniture and beds were comfortable. Lots of little details were well thought out and made our trip relaxing and fun! Close to town with good restaurants, a sledding hill and shops. We had 31” of fresh powder in less than 48 hrs that closed the pass and Wolf creek closed bc of avalanche potential But that didn’t ruin our trip because we had plenty to do at the house between movies, game night and the wonderful hot tub. Glad to hear they are building a covered area to make it easier to access during snowy conditions. We will definitely come back!

This home was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Four adults stayed here very comfortably. The kitchen had everything we needed and much more. The beds and bedding we comfy, the linens were high quality. The management company was on top of it and made sure we knew how to reach them if we needed anything. This is the second time we've stayed at the Tall Pines Retreat, and we have had a wonderful experience both times! The house is immaculately kept,fully stocked, and well organized! It offers plenty of room to relax after a day on the slopes. The well-stocked kitchen allows us to prepare and enjoy meals together. The hot tub is a perfect place to relax after a long day of skiing. The beds are incredibly comfortable and there are plenty of extra blankets and pillows provided. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, and only about a 45-minute drive to Wolf Creek ski resort. We love the extra touches provided, including a welcome note and little snacks. The property manager is helpful and responds promptly when you have questions. I would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery in a beautiful, spacious home!

This is the second year in a row we’ve stayed at the immaculate Tall Pines Retreat. Nestled in the beautiful trees of Pagosa Springs, this property is a 5-10’mi ur drive from wonderful restaurants and shopping, and an easy 40-minutes driving be from Wolf Creek Ski resort. Its spacious floor plan is perfect for our family and provides lots of room to relax after a day of skiing! This “home away from hime” offers a fully stocked kitchen, great for cooking and entertaining. The bedrooms are warm and comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The hot tub just steps from the back door offers a perfect opportunity for relaxing after a day in the slopes! We plan on booking this property again next year…it’s a perfect retreat that to don’t want to miss out on!

This is becoming one of our favorite properties to visit. It is a well-stocked, well-managed cabin in a terrific location - not too far away from Pagosa Springs so as access to shops and restaurants is not inconvenient, but not too close such that you still feel like you're in the mountains.

Spacious home with lots of options and lots of guest supplies. Nice floor plan for guest room separation and for gathering in central living spaces. Enjoyed having two decks and used the hot tub every day. Appreciated that our pets were welcome and their needs were considered and use of the garage was also helpful when loading and unloading.

We came to get away and relax. It was so peaceful there. We spent most of the time enjoying the patio and wilderness. Every day the deer would come around the patio and the kids enjoyed watching them. The location was beautiful and a small lake nearby that we walked along. The beds were comfortable. They had everything we needed during our stay and they always got right back to us right away if we needed anything. We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful home!
