Elk Lake Lodge
Elk Lake Lodge is a one of a kind, large acreage and remote lodge specializing in special events like weddings, corporate outings, family reunions or base camp for hunting in the adjacent National Forest. It is surrounded by the San Juan National Forest so also perfect for hiking and nature enthusiasts.
The Lodge is approximately 7,000 square feet; 3 floors with 9 bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms and can sleep up to 20 people. Large groups are easy to accomdate with a completely removdeled large kitchen with 2 stove / ovens, 2 refrigerators, warming oven, dishwashers and extra large walk in pantry. Enjoy the amazing views of the mountains and lake while you prepare your meals in the kitchen, or do even better and hire one of our private chefs to prepare your meals. There is a 950 square foot covered deck with plenty of seating which is ideal for entertaining and enjoying the great views of the mountains and our 10 acre lake. There is a 6 person hot tub on the ground level protected by the deck above.
Each of the 9 bedrooms are completely remodeled with many having adjoining bathrooms. Bedrooms are located on all three levels with the main bedroom on the entry level which has it's own exterior entrance, sitting / viewing room that leads to the covered deck. The expansive living room is designed to entertain the larger groups with comfy new couches to enjoy the fireplace or watch your favorite game on TV. The living room has plenty of areas to sit alone or with your group. Play pool near the kitchen and enjoy your meals on our 2 large dining tables while you take in the sunset glow on the mountains to the east.
There is plenty of places to walk on the property and can walk off the property to the San Juan Mountains. If you are lucky to rent The Lodge during snow season, there are plenty of slending hills for the kids to enjoy. If you are looking for a little more fun outside, let us bring in Buckaroo's horse drawn sleigh or wagon ride and can finish the ride with songs and S'Mores in front of an outdoor fire.
We bought the Lodge in 2023 and we spent 1.5 years renovating the entire building from top to bottom. Which included new appliances, all new windows, new outdoor covered deck, new insulation, walls, flooring, 2 new AC units and a new water filtration system. We hope you enjoy our lodge as much as we do!
